Role Summary
The Training & Development Senior Associate will be responsible for devising, coordinating and leading a
structured training programme, encompassing both the induction of new starters and the ongoing development of existing Client Associates.
This position is responsible for designing and delivering structured induction programmes for new starters in Operations, overseeing their initial development and working alongside Team Managers to ensure a smooth transition into operational teams. The post holder will also lead the ongoing training and upskilling of existing Client Associates, working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to maintain high standards of knowledge, compliance, and client service, and ensuring all Client Associates remain up to date with process changes, regulatory developments, and best practices through regular refreshers and knowledge-building sessions. The post holder should also be flexible and willing to provide a reduced induction programme for new starters in other key areas of the business.Whilst the post holder will be responsible for designing, maintaining and overall delivery of CA upskilling and development, they will not be responsible for personally delivering every training session.

Key Accountabilities
Induction & Onboarding
- Design and deliver tailored induction programmes for all new SSAS team members, aligned to role-specific requirements.
- Design and deliver reduced induction programmes for new starters in other key areas of the business.
- Retain ownership of the induction process as a whole and track measures of success for MI reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with Team Managers throughout the first 3 months of new starters’ 6 month probation periods, providing feedback on engagement, capability, flexibility, willingness to learn and PEER values, to assist in meaningful probation reviews and to highlight any areas of concern.
- Regularly liaise with Team Managers to discuss any additional training needs and to provide additional training where requested or identified. Where necessary, participate in 1:1 meetings as requested by the SSAS leadership team.
Training Delivery & Oversight
- Develop and maintain an annual training calendar in partnership with the Project Compass Team andother SSAS stakeholders.
- Deliver or coordinate training sessions to upskill existing Client Associates and ensure compliance withlegislative and procedural updates.
- Monitor training effectiveness and maintain clear records of delivery and impact, feeding back to Team managers to support updates to training matrices.
- Encourage Team Managers to ensure that training matrices are kept up to date, in order to monitor progress and skills gaps at team, location and business-wide levels.
- Review and update training materials to ensure they remain current and compliant with industry regulations.
- Ensure all training materials are saved in a clearly labelled way and in a central location. Provide videos where necessary.
- Retain ownership of the training function and collect data to provide meaningful MI on a monthly basis.
Performance & Culture
- Ensure new starters receive consistent onboarding, including systems, processes, and an understanding of WBR Group’s values.
- Promote the Cradle to Grave operating model to reinforce ownership and client relationship management.
- Monitor the pace and quality of learning for new Client Associates, ensuring alignment with WBR Group’s standards and values.
- Support scheme allocation through phased onboarding, being visible and available for queries.
- Take a proactive approach to identification of training issues or support needed, and to provide solutions to help address challenges.
Strategic Collaboration
• Work closely with SSAS Operations leadership to give timely feedback, assess training needs and review
existing Skills Matrices.
• Foster a culture of Professionalism, Excellence, Empathy, and Respect (PEER), and encourage a growth
mindset across the team.
Compliance & Development
• Maintain up-to-date industry knowledge through conferences and relevant study.
• Comply with the Health & Safety Guidelines as set out in the Health & Safety Management System
document

Skills and Experience
Proven experience in designing and delivering structured training programmes, ideally within financial
services or pensions administration.
- Strong understanding of SSAS operations and regulatory frameworks, with the ability to translate complex
processes into accessible training content. - Demonstrate leadership and line management experience, particularly in onboarding and developing new
team members. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across
departments and influence at all levels. - Proficiency in using training tools and systems to track progress, measure impact, and maintain accurate
records. - Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate training
schedules, and maintain accurate records. - Have a dynamic, proactive, enthusiastic and positive attitude in all aspects of the role.
