Role Summary
The Paralegal provides administrative support to the legal department, assisting with a variety of tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the office. This role includes managing documentation, scheduling, communication, and other administrative duties that support the legal team in delivering high-quality legal services.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage and organise property law files, both electronic and paper, ensuring all documents are accurately filed and easily retrievable
- Project administration
- Assist in preparing and formatting legal documents, correspondence and reports
- Handle incoming and outgoing communications, including emails, phone calls and mail
- Act as a point of contact between the legal department and internal/external clients, managing enquiries and directing them to the appropriate personnel
- Schedule and co-ordinate meetings and appointments for the Law team, as required
- Conduct basic legal research and gather information relevant to cases and legal matters
- Summarise findings and provide reports to Law team as needed
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all legal matters and sensitive information
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements in the management of documents and communication
- Provide administrative support during audits, investigations, and other legal activities
- Comply with the Health & Safety Guidelines as set out in the Health & Safety Management System document

- The role may be subject to credit & DBS checks
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal research tools
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all work
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
- Understanding of legal terminology and processes
- Compliance with confidentiality and legal standards
- Some relevant experience in a legal practice and within a professional services sector
