Role Summary

The Manager is a senior technical and delivery role within the tax advisory function, responsible for leading client engagements, owning project delivery, and acting as the primary point of contact for clients and connected professional advisers.

This role requires a skilled tax professional with a broad understanding of tax advisory concepts and planning as Managers will need to combine strong technical expertise with commercial awareness, leadership capability, and accountability for outcomes. The role demands strong project management skills and involves shaping tax advice,
reviewing work, supporting and developing colleagues across the team whilst ensuring an excellent client service. Commercial awareness is crucial, with the individual expected to contribute to monthly targets, identify additional tax planning opportunities, and suggest improvements to tools and processes.

This role represents a transition from “technical specialist” to “leader of people, projects, and client relationships” and is a key feeder role for Senior Manager and Director positions. The role can also include contributions to business development; though this will not necessarily be a requirement of the role.
